A great opportunity for growth comes from worshipping God and encouraging one another to live like Jesus wants us to. We are the church of Christ, and honor the One who died to take away our sins. As Christians, we believe that the whole Bible (both the Old and New Testament) is the word of God. We can learn much from the Old, but we find specific instructions for life and worship from the New. Our weekly worship includes singing and prayer, study of the Bible, sharing in the Lord's Supper and giving to God as He has blessed us. We do this on the first day of the week just like the first century Christians. The death and resurrection of Christ are central to our teachings. Our salvation is based entirely in Jesus Christ. We encourage others to study the Word and accept the scriptures as the inspired word of God. You will find a warm and friendly welcome at Highland.
